Upon Every Wave, Our Wellbeing Rides....

BEACH HUT  RESIDENCY: ADAM BRIDGLAND , SUNDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER

On a Sunny day in September, artist and printmaker Adam Bridgland was a temporary artist-in-residence in one of Felixstowe’s infamous sea-front Beach Huts. Pier Projects commissioned Adam to produce a new print work referencing the impact of the sea on our well-being which was screen printed live from Beach Hut no.4 situated near the Spa Pavilion over-looking the sea.

During the day Adam produced a set of 10 limited prints 'Upon Every Wave Our Wellbeing Rides' which  are available to purchase. Please see our Editions page. All profits of the prints will go to local youth project Level Two, based in Felixstowe. The residency coincided with the town’s annual cultural event ‘Art on the Prom’, now in its fourteenth year.

Pier Projects are grateful to Councillor Steven Gallant who has funded the project through Suffolk Coastal District Council’s Enabling Communities Fund and to Heather and John Carpenter who loaned us their beach hut.
