Summer 2019

viewpoints is a contemporary art programme in Felixstowe taking place this Summer manifesting in two public presentations and the launch of a new arts and culture networking group.

Artists Anna Brownsted and Caroline Wright are currently developing projects that will take place in August. For more details about the arts and culture networking event on 22nd July, please see our events page where further details of the programme will be shared.

This programme has been generously supported by Arts Council England, Felixstowe Town Council and Councillor Stuart Bird via Enabling Communities Fund (formerly Suffolk Coastal District Council, now East Suffolk Council)

Anna brownsted

Anna Brownsted is creating a temporary public installation responding to the history and geography of Landguard Point. Anna works across a range of media including sound, installation, performance and participation. Her practice is led by an interrogation of liveness and immersion, and explores themes of identity, dislocation and trust.

Caroline wright and level two youth project

Caroline Wright is working with young people at Level Two Youth Project. Across a number of ‘studio days’, discussions and work will emerge that probes how people relate to where they live and to art objects. The work created - alongside insights of their working process- will be displayed in the Tourist Information Beach Hut on Felixstowe promenade from 29th July - 2 August inclusive.
